A new Czech play about the remarkable life of Dr. Vlasta Kálalová – di Lotti (1896–1971), born in the south Bohemian village of Bernartice. Her determined pursuit of a seemingly impossible dream was nothing short of extraordinary. No one believed that a young Czech woman doctor in the 1920s could travel to Baghdad to study tropical diseases. And yet she succeeded in opening a hospital there — and even treated members of the royal family…
