France, 16th century. The marriage of Queen Margot and Henry of Navarre is meant to seal the peace. Instead, it opens the gates to the bloody massacre of St. Bartholomew’s Day. In the dark corridors of the Louvre, power, loyalty, and survival are at stake. Margot has to navigate a labyrinth of courtly intrigues while confronting her own passions: how much freedom can a woman claim when everyone else sees her only as a political pawn?
