The festival is held under the auspices of the mayor of the statutory city of České Budějovice.

The timeless adventure of a young boy who leaves the safe embrace of his tiny planet to travel across the universe. Through a series of extraordinary encounters, he discovers the true essence of what matters in life.
"All grown-ups were once children, but only few of them remember it." This magical work by Rachel Portman, a British film composer and an Academy Award-holder, will be presented in its Czech premiere as a spectacular production for the whole family.
Please note that this performance includes cold spark effects, smoke machines, flares, a smoking pipe, and other smoke and pyrotechnic effects.

The program for the opening weekend, May 1–3 (Festival Bites), will go on slae on December 1, 2025.

For all performances of Jižní Svéráz (except those at the Revolving Theatre), a 30% discount is available for children and students under 26, as well as seniors over 65.
