Aris is a native of Athens, Greece, where he studied music theory, saxophone and voice. He continued his music studies in master classes in Italy and Greece with Gabriela Ravazzi and Kostas Paskalis. He began his European career as a singer in prominent opera houses in Athens, Leipzig, Hamburg, Berlin, Stockholm and London. His most impressive stage appearances include his baritone roles by Mozart (Don Giovanni, Count Almaviva), Rossini (The Barber of Seville, Figaro), Verdi (La Traviata, Giorgio Germont), Puccini (La Bohème, Marcello) and Donizetti (Lucia di Lammermoor Lord Enrico Ashton).
