Věra Likérová

Věra Likérová started her music career at the people’s art school in Prague (flute, piano, voice) in 1989. One of her first successes as a child was the role of Cosetta in the musical Les Misérables in 1992. In 2002 she enrolled for day study at the Prague Conservatory, in the branch of opera singing in the class of Prof. A. Denygrová and later with Prof. Y. Škvárová. In 2007 she completed her Master Singing Classes in Karlovy Vary with Prof. P. Dvorský and Prof. M. Blahušiaková. She is a permanent guest at the Prague State Opera, F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec, J. K. Tyla Theatre in Pilsen and the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice. In 2008 she won the prize of the International Vocal Competition in Žďár nad Sázavou. In July 2009 she sang at the International Music Festival in Český Krumlov in a co-production with the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice, conducted by John Keenan (A. Dvořák’s Rusalka - in the role of the First Wood Nymph).

In 2010 she appeared at the International Music Festival in Český Krumlov again, this time under the baton of conductor A. Allemandi, in Don Giovanni by W. A. Mozart (Zerlina), staged by the South Bohemian Theatre.
